Affiliate Marketing on a Budget: Free Affiliate Marketing Training, Tools & Resources

Hello and welcome to the Smart affiliate marketing podcast.

This episode is all about affiliate marketing on a budget, and it’s designed to help people with low or no budget to progress on their affiliate marketing journey.

It’s going to include information on free training, free tools and free resources to help you on your way to success.

Let’s get straight into it, and we’re going to first look at free training.

You can find affiliate marketing training all over the Internet.

You can search YouTube, blogs, websites, Facebook groups, and you should be able to find a training video on whatever subject you need to learn.

Now, whilst I don’t personally provide a free course as such, I do provide a free checklist and most of the training that you need to get on your way.

If you go to the SmartAffiliatePodcast.com website, that’s WWW dot smart affiliate Podcast.com website and search the menu for the “Free checklist”, which you can download and use alongside the podcast episodes. And you’ll be well on your way, using just that free resource.

Another good source of free training is the affiliate platforms which, you’ll be promoting their offers. They often have free training to help you, and these are resources that should not be overlooked because they will be of great benefit to you on your journey.

Let’s move on to free tools now, and there’s going to be a number of these listed in the show notes below this podcast, and they’ll also be on the SmartAffiliatePodcast.com website. If you go to the page called Podcast Episodes and find Episode 19, you will find all the resources there and much more.

Ideally, you would have your own domain and website. But if you have literally no budget, then you can use sites like WordPress, Blogger, Wix, Weebly, jimdo, Squarespace, Webnode, yola and zyro to provide free sites.

That said, a domain should cost you around $10 for a year, and hosting isn’t overly expensive. You can get it for a few dollars a month.

If you literally have no budget whatsoever, then you can use the sites I just mentioned.

As an affiliate marketer, you’re going to need to create graphics, and I find the best solution for this on no budget is a free canva account.

Now, I do have the paid version, which is better than the free one, but the free one will be sufficient for a beginner.

So Canva is my favourite, but you can also use sites such as pixlr, spelt P I X L R. There’s gimp. There is PixaBay PIXABAY. There’s inkscape, I N K S C A P E, and there’s Unsplash. As I say, Canva is my preferred tool. But feel free to test those out and see which one you like the best.

For building sales funnels, opt in pages and having an email marketing suite and shopping cart, you may think there is no way you can get those for free, but you can use a site called SystemE.IO spelt SYSTEME dot IO.

There will be a link on the page, as I mentioned, and underneath this podcast and there you can get a free account, which will get you up and running.

Now, the free account is designed to give you enough capacity to get up and running, and by the time you need to progress to a paid account, you should be earning affiliate commissions by then, so it won’t be a problem, but you can start indefinitely for free for as long as you need until you start making income and you need a bigger account.

Let’s look at free tools now for keyword research.

There is the Google keyword planner, which is a very good tool, but you do need a Google account for this. Otherwise, you can simply go to Google and search for a free keyword tool.

You may find sites like Ubersuggest, AHrefs, SEM Rush and Moz. You can check those all out for their free accounts and see what facilities and options they offer on a free account.

You can also use sites such as Answer the public and uberSuggest and moving on from keyword research into market research, you can use tools such as Google trends. You can use Amazon for market research and sites such as ClickBank with affiliate programmes – you can use them for market research as well.

Again, you can use answer the public for keyword research as well as market research.

One of the current benefits of being an affiliate marketer, which is going to obviously continue, is that we can now use AI to help in our marketing efforts.

There’s many free AI tools. There’s a free version of Chat GPT, which you can use. Google Gemini I find very good. There is a site called Suno, where you can create music. And if you’re totally new to AI, there is a free A I Kickstarter course on my digital learning platform, which is SmartOnlineAcademy.com – And on the top menu you’ll see a link to the A I Kickstarter course, which is free.

And also, if you go to the “free resources” page, you will see that course as well as the “AI and WiFi Business Guide”. Both of these courses are entirely free, and they’re there for you to take advantage of and progress on your journey.

The last area we’re going to look at today is free traffic.

Now you may be wondering, how on earth do I get free traffic?

Well, no traffic is free. You either pay with time or money. If you have no money, then you have to pay with time, and the way you can do that is by content marketing, video marketing, blog posting, social media marketing – and any of those areas, you simply just Google “free course on content marketing”, Or “how do I do content marketing to get traffic” and you will find numerous resources to help you on your way.

Now, between my two websites, the SmartAffiliatePodcast.com and the SmartOnlineAcademy.com , there are lots of free resources and links to other resources and courses which will help you on your way.

You don’t need to spend a penny to use those sites.

They’re simply there to help you.
